Does hepatitis a have the greatest risk of infection?

I'm trying to be more careful about infectious diseases, especially when traveling. Among the different types of hepatitis, does hepatitis A have the greatest risk of infection in general settings? I want to understand the precautions.

It is highly contagious because it spreads through contaminated food and water. If you have existing conditions like diabetes, any infection can mess up your recovery, so you have to be extra careful. Always drink boiled water outside.

While it is highly infectious through the fecal-oral route, viruses like Hepatitis B actually have a higher risk of transmission through bodily fluids. But for everyday community spread, Hep A remains a massive concern due to water hygiene.

Honestly, it spreads so fast. I got it just from having fresh juice at a local stall where the glasses probably weren't washed in clean water. It spreads easily in public places, so the risk of catching it is definitely high if hygiene is poor.

Don't listen to random internet forums saying it's the most dangerous one. The infection rate is high only because of bad sanitation. Go speak to an epidemiologist or doctor to understand the actual risks in your area.

Haan na, it spreads so easily if we eat outside during monsoons. In crowded places, if one person has it, the risk of it passing through food is very high. Best is to eat ghar pe as much as possible.

My family doctor explained that while Hep A spreads rapidly through contaminated food, it doesn't cause chronic, life-long infections like Hep B or C. So while the transmission risk is high, the long-term health risk is lower.

Because it spreads so easily, getting infected means spending money on blood tests, doctor fees, and taking leaves from work. It's much cheaper and safer to get the Hepatitis A vaccine beforehand. Prevention saves a lot of money.
