Does heat stroke cause blurred vision?

My friend had a heat stroke last week, and she mentioned her vision was blurry during the episode. Does heat stroke commonly cause blurred vision as a symptom? I'm a bit concerned.

While drinking onion juice or raw mango panna helps cool the body during mild summer heat, blurred vision is a very serious symptom. If someone is losing clarity in their sight due to heat, it means the body is severely overheated. Skip the home remedies and take them to a doctor immediately.

During my service years in the plains, I saw people collapse from the loo wind with blurred vision and confusion. It is a classic sign of severe dehydration and heat exhaustion. Getting the person into a cool room and applying wet towels on their forehead is the first thing we always did before the doctor arrived.

Yes, extreme heat can deplete the body's fluids and cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, leading to blurred vision or dizziness. In such situations, one must immediately sit in the shade, sip cool water slowly, and rest. Please seek medical help if the vision does not clear quickly.

Blurred vision during heat exposure is a major red flag for heat stroke, which is a medical emergency. It indicates that your body's temperature regulation has failed and your vital organs are under stress. Get to an air-conditioned space and seek emergency medical care immediately.

If I walk out in Delhi's 45-degree heat without an umbrella, my eyes start seeing double within ten minutes. Heat stroke dehydrates your brain and eyes so bad that everything looks blurry. Honestly, just stay inside and drink your ORS, don't try to be a hero in the sun.
