Does heat help neck pain?
Working on the computer all day gives me terrible neck pain. I've tried stretching, but someone suggested applying a hot pack. Does heat really help relieve neck pain?

Haan na, working on the laptop all day totally wrecks the neck muscles. A warm water bag gives so much relief instantly, it feels very relaxing. Just be careful not to make the water too hot, and do consult a doctor if the pain spreads to your shoulders.
My neck has been feeling so stiff and aching since last week from sitting at my desk. I tried a warm gel pack today and it felt nice, but does anyone else feel like the pain returns after a few hours? Is this normal or should I get a proper spine checkup done?
I always get so worried that my neck pain might be cervical spondylosis or something serious, which makes my muscles even more tense. If you are also feeling anxious, try a mild warm compress to see if it relaxes you, but definitely book a doctor's appointment to clear your doubts.
Using a heating pad for 15 minutes really helps loosen my neck before I do my daily mobility stretches and light walks. It improves blood flow to the tired muscles. Just make sure your doctor or physiotherapist approves of the exercises first.

Oh, I totally feel you! My neck gets super stiff from bad sleeping positions. A hot shower running over my shoulders works like magic to relieve that morning tightness. Definitely give heat a try, but if it doesn't get better in a few days, please see a doctor.
