Does hard anodized cookware cause cancer?

We recently bought some hard anodized cookware for our kitchen, and my sister-in-law mentioned she heard it might leach chemicals and cause cancer. I'm very worried about my family's health. Is this true about hard anodized cookware?

Actually yaar, there is no scientific proof that hard anodized cookware causes cancer. The anodizing process seals the aluminum so it doesn't leach into your food. Just don't use highly scratched pans, that's it.

I totally understand why you are worried, I used to stay up late reading about non-stick coatings and getting so anxious about cancer risks. But hard anodized pans are actually considered quite safe because the surface is electrochemically hardened. You can use it without stressing so much.

I used to ignore all health advice and ended up with serious stomach issues later, so it's good you are being cautious now. While anodized pans are generally safe, always buy certified brands and discard them if the coating starts chipping off. Never ignore damaged cookware.

Bro, my mom has been using hard anodized kadhais for over ten years now and we are all perfectly fine. It doesn't cause cancer because the aluminum is locked under a non-reactive layer. It's way safer than cheap local non-stick stuff.

When I visited my doctor at Apollo for my annual health checkup, I actually asked about toxins in cookware. He told me hard anodized is perfectly safe as long as it's not damaged, but if you have specific health concerns, you should discuss it with a clinical nutritionist.

These modern non-stick and anodized vessels always bring some doubt to our minds. In our village, we still prefer clay pots or cast iron which are completely natural. If you are worried, you can slowly transition back to iron tawas for your daily rotis.
