Does hand foot and mouth cause fever?

My neighbour's child has Hand Foot and Mouth disease, and now my kid is showing some mild symptoms. She has a slight fever. Does Hand Foot and Mouth disease typically cause a fever as one of its early symptoms?

I totally get it, seeing your little one warm and fussy is so scary. Yes, fever is usually one of the very first signs of hand foot and mouth. Just try to keep them comfortable and keep a sponge cloth handy to cool them down.

Yes, it definitely can cause a very high fever. I ignored my son's initial warm forehead thinking it was just teething, and it escalated so fast we had to rush to the clinic. Please get it checked by a pediatrician immediately instead of waiting.

Yes it does, and honestly I got so terrified when I read about the high temperature spikes. I kept checking my daughter's temp every fifteen minutes. Just keep your doctor on speed dial so you don't panic like I did.

Yeah it does. When I got it, I had a burning fever of 101 for two full days before the mouth sores even started. It honestly felt like a bad flu at first.

Yes, fever is very common with this virus. While the doctor's medicine is must, I used to give my kids cold curd and coconut water to soothe the internal heat and throat irritation. It really helps them stay calm when they are burning up.

Fever is just the body's natural way of fighting off this virus, so do not panic. Keep your mind calm, pray for quick healing, and let the medicine do its work. Take good care of your health and rest fully.

Yes, it causes fever in almost 90 percent of cases. It is a viral infection after all. Don't waste time on forums, just get paracetamol prescribed by your doctor and monitor the temperature every four hours.

I literally just got over this last week. The fever hit me out of nowhere and my joints were aching badly for the first 36 hours. Once the fever broke, the blisters started showing up on my feet.

Actually yaar, fever is the main culprit that starts the whole thing. My niece had a 102 fever for two days and we were so confused until the rashes popped up on her hands. Better to consult a doc soon.

Fever is the classic immune response here. When my gym buddy's kid had it, the fever drained them completely. Focus on light, nutrient-dense liquid foods and let the body rest so it can fight the virus.
