Does h pylori cause vomiting?

I've been having a lot of stomach discomfort and nausea lately, sometimes leading to vomiting. The doctor suspects H. pylori. Is vomiting a common symptom of an H. pylori infection?

Yes, it can cause a lot of nausea and vomiting because it irritates the stomach wall. In our days, we would sip on mild ginger water to soothe the urge, but since this is a bacterial infection, you must show a doctor. Don't rely only on home tips for this.

If you are vomiting frequently, please don't wait or self-medicate. Constant vomiting can quickly lead to dehydration and indicates that the stomach lining is highly irritated or ulcerated. Go to a hospital or clinic and get a proper diagnosis immediately.

Do not listen to people online suggesting random herbal juices to cure vomiting from H. pylori. Vomiting is a clear sign of severe gastritis or an ulcer caused by the infection, and it requires a specific combination of antibiotics and antacids. Get tested by a real gastroenterologist.

I was just reading about this because my cousin has been feeling very nauseous and threw up twice this week. Apparently, H. pylori weakens the stomach protective shield, which causes acid irritation and vomiting. It seems really common, so she is going to book a doctor appointment tomorrow.

Yes, vomiting is a classic symptom of H. pylori gastritis. The infection increases acid production, making your stomach reject food easily. Keep sipping ORS to stay hydrated, avoid oily food completely, and make sure you finish the full course of antibiotics your doctor prescribes.
