Does gum disease cause bad breath?

I've been experiencing bad breath for a while now, and my gums sometimes bleed when I brush. I'm wondering if these two issues are related, and if gum disease causes bad breath.

Yes, when our gums are not clean, the breath also loses its freshness. Keep your mind positive, clean your mouth gently every morning and night, and let nature heal you. Proper care will bring back your fresh energy.

Absolutely, gum disease is the biggest reason for bad breath. I tried warm salt water rinses and oil pulling with coconut oil, and it helped me a lot with swelling and smell. But if there is bleeding, please get a professional scaling done by a dentist.

Oh, I was so self-conscious about this for months and kept thinking everyone could smell it! Yes, gum infection causes bad breath because of plaque buildup. Please don't stress too much, once the dentist cleans it, the smell goes away completely.

Yes, it definitely does. The bacteria hiding in swollen gums produce foul-smelling gases, which mouthwashes only hide for an hour. Go to a dentist, get a proper teeth cleaning done, and start flossing daily. It makes a massive difference.

Haan bro, 100%. I had bleeding gums and terrible breath even after brushing twice. Finally went to the dentist, got a cleanup done, and now it's completely gone. Just get it done, no point hiding it with mints.

It was so embarrassing for me that I stopped talking closely with my friends or smiling in photos. Gum disease definitely causes bad breath, and the emotional toll is real. Please know you are not alone, and getting dental treatment will bring your confidence back.

Yes, gum issues are the primary cause of bad breath. Don't waste money on expensive fancy mouthwashes as they are just temporary. Go to a local government dental hospital or a small clinic where deep cleaning is very pocket-friendly and actually solves the root cause.

I ignored my bleeding gums and bad breath for two years, thinking it was just normal acidity. Eventually, two of my teeth became loose and I had to undergo expensive gum surgery. Do not ignore the smell, go to a dentist immediately before it gets worse.
