Does gastritis cause vomiting?

My doctor mentioned I might have gastritis because of my persistent stomach discomfort. I also tend to feel nauseous and have vomited a couple of times. Is vomiting a common symptom that people with gastritis experience?

Yes, severe gastritis can definitely cause a very uneasy feeling and vomiting. My mother always tells me to drink cold milk or tender coconut water to soothe the stomach lining, but if you cannot keep any food down, please visit a doctor. Sometimes you need proper medication to stop the cycle of vomiting.

Yes, gastritis causes inflammation of the stomach lining, which triggers the vomiting reflex. My doctor explained that when the acid level is too high, the stomach tries to expel it, leading to nausea and throwing up. It is important to take prescribed proton pump inhibitors and avoid self-medicating if it persists.

At my age, even looking at extra spicy chole bhature causes gastritis and a feeling like I will throw up. Vomiting is quite common when your stomach lining is irritated. Just stick to simple khichdi and don't try to be a hero, consult a doctor if it happens more than twice.

I have dealt with stomach issues for decades now. When gastritis gets very bad, it leads to nausea and vomiting of sour fluid. Don't worry too much, but make sure you stay hydrated with ORS water and get a doctor to prescribe a good antacid.

With our late-night work shifts and coffee addiction, gastritis and nausea are bound to happen. If you are actually vomiting, it means your stomach needs rest. Take a sick leave, consult an online doctor immediately for an anti-emetic, and stick to light fluids.

Bro, hostel food gave me such bad gastritis last semester that I was constantly throwing up. It is honestly the worst feeling ever. Just drink plenty of water and maybe get some electral, and definitely see the campus doc if it doesn't stop.
