Does gabapentin cause muscle pain?

I've been on Gabapentin for chronic nerve pain for a few months now, and while it helps, I've recently started experiencing unexplained muscle pain in my legs and arms. Could this new muscle pain be a side effect of the Gabapentin?

I manage high blood pressure and have to be very careful with new symptoms. Sometimes muscle pain can be due to poor circulation or electrolyte imbalance, not just the medicine. Get a routine checkup done to be absolutely sure.

My daughter felt some mild leg cramps when she first started this medication. We kept her hydrated and massaged her legs gently with warm mustard oil, which helped a lot. Please consult your pediatrician or doctor if the pain is severe.

It is completely valid to feel worried when you get new muscle pains while on a new pill. I used to panic and think the worst. Just remember that our bodies react to changes, and speaking to your doctor will clear all doubts.

I had some weird muscle soreness in my calves for the first week of starting gabapentin. I just drank lots of water and it went away on its own. If it doesn't stop for you, definitely hit up your doc.

Haan, initial days mein thoda muscle stiffness felt ho sakta hai, body takes time to adjust na. But if it is hurting too much, don't ignore it. Dr. se discuss karke dosage set karwa lo once.
