Does fluoride really prevent cavities?

I grew up using fluoride toothpaste, but now I hear mixed opinions about it. My friend says it's not as effective as people think. Does fluoride really prevent cavities, or are there better alternatives?

Yes, it absolutely does. I used to get cavities every year until my dentist made me switch to a proper fluoride toothpaste and brush twice daily.

It definitely works. My kids had very weak enamel, but after the dentist recommended a fluoride gel, their teeth became much stronger and cavity-free.

Yes, it is scientifically proven to prevent decay. Just like managing blood pressure requires a disciplined lifestyle, dental health needs regular care and good toothpaste.

Honestly, using fluoride toothpaste is the most budget-friendly way to avoid huge dentist bills for fillings and root canals later on.
