Does flu start with fever?

My whole family has been getting sick, and I'm starting to feel under the weather too. I'm trying to catch it early. Does flu usually start with a fever, or do other symptoms appear first?

For me, the fever hit first and suddenly my favorite butter chicken tasted like cardboard! Flu definitely starts with a fever and totally ruins your appetite for a few days.

Usually, flu starts very suddenly with a fever, along with body aches. My mother always tells me to drink warm pepper rasam, but it is always best to consult your family doctor if the fever stays high.

I just recovered from the flu last week, and yes, it literally started with a sudden high fever out of nowhere in the evening. Within hours my whole body was aching, so please rest up.

Listen, flu almost always starts with a sudden fever and heavy head. Don't stress too much, just cancel your plans for the next two days, drink plenty of water, and get some solid rest.

Yes, a sudden fever is usually the first sign. When it hits, I immediately stop my gym workouts and focus purely on hydration and recovery sleep so my immune system can bounce back.

From what I have experienced, yes, the fever is one of the first things to show up. Everyone's body reacts a bit differently though, so just take care and track your symptoms gently.

Yeah bro, it hits you like a truck. One minute you are totally fine, and the next you have a burning fever and chills. That is classic flu for you.
