Does fever come with pink eye?

My eyes are red and itchy, and I'm pretty sure it's pink eye. I don't have a fever though. Does pink eye typically come with a fever, or is it possible to just have the eye symptoms?

Hey, don't stress too much! Sometimes viral conjunctivitis can come with a mild fever and a runny nose, like a package deal. Just wash your hands constantly so it doesn't spread to your other eye, and rest up. It should clear up in a few days!

Fever can sometimes accompany eye infections when the body's natural defense system is active. Keep your mind calm and positive, as stress can delay healing. Wash your eyes gently with clean water, rest well, and take care of your health.

Beta, pink eye can sometimes be accompanied by a mild fever if the infection is viral. You can place a clean, damp cotton pad cooled in water over your eyes to soothe the itching. But remember, eyes are very delicate, so do not put any homemade mixtures inside and visit an eye doctor.

Dude, yes! I had pink eye during exams last semester and literally woke up with crusty red eyes and a warm forehead. It felt like a double attack. Just use the drops the doc gives you and don't rub your eyes, trust me, it makes it ten times worse.

Yes, especially if it is viral pink eye, you can easily get a mild fever and throat irritation. Don't go self-medicating with random eye drops, though. Go see an eye specialist to get the correct drops and get it sorted quickly.

According to most medical logs on my health app, viral conjunctivitis often presents alongside systemic symptoms like a low-grade fever or cold. I'd suggest tracking your temperature on your phone. If the fever spikes high or your eye pain becomes severe, it is best to book an online consultation immediately.

I understand how annoying it is to have itchy eyes and a fever together. When my daughter had this, I used cold compresses over her closed eyes to reduce the burning sensation, which really helped. But since it is the eyes, please visit a doctor to make sure it is not a serious infection.
