Does fatty liver causes high cholesterol?

My recent health check-up showed I have fatty liver, and my cholesterol levels are also high. My doctor mentioned a connection, so I was wondering if the fatty liver itself can be the reason for the high cholesterol. Is this something that usually happens together?

Haan, bilkul link hai in dono ka. Jab liver me fat jama hone lagta hai, toh uska normal kaam affect hota hai aur cholesterol levels badhne lagte hain. Mere chacha ko bhi yahi issue tha, toh unhone diet control ki aur liver normal hote hi cholesterol bhi normal ho gaya na.

They are definitely connected. I track my lipid profile and liver enzymes on my health dashboard, and whenever my liver markers spike, my LDL cholesterol goes up too. The liver is the main hub for processing fat, so when it is sluggish, your overall cholesterol numbers will surely take a hit.

Yes, it absolutely does. My teenage son was diagnosed with grade 1 fatty liver last year, and his blood reports showed surprisingly high cholesterol for his age. We cut down on deep-fried food and sweet drinks immediately, and thankfully his cholesterol levels have improved a lot now.

Don't stress too much, it is a very common connection but highly manageable. Since the liver manages how fats are broken down in your body, fatty liver can easily cause your cholesterol to shoot up. Just focus on eating clean and staying active, and things will fall back into place soon.

There is a strong metabolic link between the two. My physician explained that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) alters hepatic lipid metabolism, which directly increases the synthesis of VLDL and LDL cholesterol while reducing HDL. He advised me that managing liver health through a low-glycemic diet is key to bringing those lipid levels down.

Seedhi baat hai, dono ka solid connection hai. Liver fatty hoga toh woh cholesterol ko dhang se process nahi kar payega, aur blood me cholesterol badhega hi. Pehle doctor se milkar test karwao aur check-up ke hisab se diet sudharo, baaki sab apne aap theek ho jayega.

It's like a buy-one-get-one-free offer that nobody asked for! A fatty liver loves to invite high cholesterol to the party because they are best friends. But seriously, clear out the fat from the liver with a little daily walking, and your cholesterol will also pack its bags and leave.

I am actually quite new to learning about this. My doctor recently mentioned I have mild fatty liver, and my cholesterol is also on the higher side. Does this mean I have to completely stop eating all types of oils, or are some healthy fats still okay to consume?
