Does fasting help liver?

I'm looking into different ways to keep my body healthy, especially my liver, as it does so much work. I've heard some people say that fasting can be good for liver health. Does fasting really help cleanse or improve the overall function of the liver?

Beta, hamare zamane mein hafte mein ek baar thoda halka khana ya dahi-khichdi khane ki aadat thi, jisse pet ko aaram mile. Liver ke liye jyada mirch-masala chhodo aur saunf ka paani piyo, par kadi fasting mat karo bina pooche.

I completely understand how stressful it is when you are worrying about your liver health, I went through the same phase last year. Fasting can sometimes help detox, but the anxiety of doing it wrong can also affect you. Just take a deep breath and let a doctor guide you on this.

Listen, don't stress too much about all these complicated diet trends. Just cutting down on late-night junk and alcohol does 90% of the job for your liver. You don't need to starve yourself to keep your liver happy, trust me!

Fasting might help with calorie deficit, but regular physical activity is what truly keeps your liver active. Try incorporating a 30-minute brisk walk daily if your health permits. It helps burn the fat accumulated around organs much better.

Drinking warm water with lemon in the morning is a gentle way to support the system. However, if you are experiencing heavy fatigue, pain in the right side, or nausea, please see a doctor instead of trying home fasts.
