Does exercise help weight loss?

I've been trying to shed some kilos for a long time, and everyone says exercise is key. I do walk a bit, but sometimes I feel like it's not enough. Does regular exercise truly make a significant difference in achieving weight loss?

I worry so much about doing the wrong exercises and hurting my knees. But slowly starting with low-impact walking has really helped me begin my weight loss journey. Don't stress, just start with easy movements.

In my youth, we stayed fit just by walking everywhere and eating home-cooked meals. Exercise is essential for weight loss, but don't forget that control over your plate is the most important part.

It definitely helps, but only if you don't reward a 20-minute walk with a massive plate of hot biryani like I do! Consistency is hard, but moving daily is better than sitting on the couch.

My mother always tells me to drink warm water, but my physician clearly advised that creating a calorie deficit through regular walking and yoga is key. Keeping active is the most reliable way to shed extra kilos safely.

Yes, but remember that weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. You can work out all you want, but if you are consuming high-calorie oily foods, you won't see results. Stick to high-protein veg food and regular cardio.

Honestly, walking to my lectures and skipping junk food helped me shed some weight during the exams. You don't need a heavy gym routine, just keep moving and stay active throughout the day.

Losing weight through regular exercise also helped me bring my high blood pressure down. Make sure to consult your doctor for a proper lifestyle plan and get regular BP checkups while starting any intense workout.

I prefer simple home remedies like drinking warm lemon water in the morning and walking in the park. However, if you have sudden, unexplained weight gain, please see a doctor to check for thyroid or hormonal issues first.

I have been working out for three weeks now but haven't seen any change on the weighing scale. Does anyone else feel discouraged like this in the beginning? I am worried I am doing something wrong.

Yes, it really does help. Even if you just start with short daily walks, it will make a difference over time. Take it easy and be kind to yourself.
