Does exercise help underactive thyroid?

I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid some time ago, and I'm always looking for ways to manage my symptoms better. I know diet is important, but does exercise also play a role in improving thyroid function or managing symptoms?

It definitely helps boost your metabolism which slows down due to hypothyroidism. I only get 30 minutes in the morning before my office calls start, but even that short session helps fight the daily fatigue.

Actually yaar, thyroid fatigue is so real, you just want to sleep all day. But once you push yourself for a 20-minute walk, you feel so much more energetic. It really helps beat the sluggishness.

Honestly, my thyroid makes me crave carbs like crazy and feel so lazy! But keeping up with regular light workouts helps me burn off those extra calorie treats and keeps my energy levels up.

Please be careful not to over-exhaust yourself. When my TSH was very high, heavy gymming caused extreme muscle pain and fatigue. Get your levels checked and ask your doctor what level of exercise is safe.

Ji bilkul, regular exercise along with your morning thyroid pill is the best combination. Mild strength training and daily walks keep your joints flexible and energy levels high. Just be consistent.

Absolutely, physical activity is crucial to prevent the weight gain that comes with an underactive thyroid. Don't sit around expecting medication alone to do all the work; hit the gym or run daily.
