Does exercise help liver cirrhosis?

I've been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, and my doctor has given me a lot of dietary advice. I'm wondering about physical activity. Is there any benefit to exercise for someone with liver cirrhosis, or could it be harmful?

I read so much online about this and got really worried for my uncle. Light walking seems safe, but I am always scared that overexertion might put too much pressure on the portal vein. Please do check with a doctor first to be absolutely safe.

My dad has early-stage cirrhosis and his doctor strictly told us no heavy workouts. Only gentle 20-minute evening walks are allowed to prevent muscle loss. Don't let anyone lift heavy weights or do intense gymming with this condition.

I am trying to learn more about liver health because of a family member. Is moderate physical activity actually recommended in advanced stages, or is complete bed rest better? If anyone has gone through this, please let me know.

Gentle yoga and deep breathing exercises like Pranayama help reduce stress and improve blood circulation to internal organs. It must be done very slowly and under proper guidance without straining the abdomen.

Honestly, I barely have the energy to lift my coffee cup these days. But jokes apart, severe liver conditions need very gentle care. Simple stretching or a short stroll is probably all the exercise one should do without getting exhausted.
