Does everyone have eczema?

My skin often gets dry and itchy, especially in certain areas. Sometimes it looks a bit red and flaky. Does everyone have eczema, or is it something some people get?

No, everyone doesn't have it, but I have been dealing with it on my hands for years. For me, dry weather and strong soaps always trigger a flare-up. Keeping my skin moisturized is the only thing that consistently helps.

Actually, it is a specific skin condition, so not everyone gets it. My cousin has it and she has to be very careful with the skincare products she uses. Using fragrance-free moisturizers and gentle body washes works best for sensitive skin.

Eczema is not universal, it often points to an internal heat or stress imbalance in the body. I have found that regular breathing exercises and eating cooling foods can help soothe skin irritation. Of course, always consult a doctor if the itching is severe.

Nah man, everyone does not have eczema. I got diagnosed with it last year after getting itchy red patches on my elbows. It is mostly an allergy thing, so just get it checked by a skin doc instead of guessing.

At my age, my skin gets so dry it feels like sandpaper, but thankfully it is not eczema. It is just a specific allergic condition that some people have to deal with. If I got that too on top of my back pain, I would need a permanent doctor at home!

I totally get it, dealing with constant skin itching and redness can be incredibly frustrating and exhausting. It is not something everyone has, but for those who do, it is quite a struggle. Just hang in there and try to keep your skin cool and calm.
