Does enlarged prostate cause pain?

I've been experiencing some discomfort and frequent urination lately, and my doctor mentioned it might be an enlarged prostate. I wanted to ask, does an enlarged prostate typically cause pain, or just other symptoms?

I am just starting to experience some difficulty and mild pressure down there, and I'm a bit hesitant to go to a clinic. Does this pain usually get worse at night or is it constant? I would be really grateful for any guidance.

I managed my father's prostate issues for years, and yes, it can definitely cause discomfort and dull pain, especially while trying to urinate. It is very important to get a proper urologist's opinion. Don't let them suffer in silence.

Yes, an enlarged prostate can cause a lot of lower abdominal and pelvic discomfort. Please see a urologist soon so they can prescribe medication to ease the flow.

While you must see a doctor for the medical side, lifestyle also plays a big role. Avoiding too much caffeine and doing pelvic floor exercises can help reduce the pressure. Keep your diet clean and stay active.

Please don't ignore any pain or burning. I delayed showing it to a doctor thinking it was a simple heat issue, and it turned into a severe urinary tract infection and blockage. Go straight to a specialist.
