Does emergen c cause kidney stones?

I've been taking Emergen-C regularly, especially during flu season, to boost my immunity. However, my brother recently told me that high vitamin C intake can lead to kidney stones. Does Emergen-C cause kidney stones?

Taking too much Vitamin C can definitely increase oxalate levels, which leads to kidney stones. I always suggest getting regular blood tests and discussing any daily supplements with your doctor, just like I do for my thyroid.

Emergen-C has a very high dose of Vitamin C. If you are taking it, make sure to drink a lot of water and keep active. Walking daily helps clear toxins, but definitely check with a doc if you have a history of stones.

Yes, too much Vitamin C can sometimes cause stones if you don't drink enough water! 💧 Just keep yourself well hydrated and don't take these packets every single day! 👍

I literally just got treated for a kidney stone last month. My doctor told me to stop taking high-dose Vitamin C supplements like Emergen-C immediately because excess vitamin C turns into oxalate in the body.

Yeah, high doses of Vitamin C can definitely cause stones if you overload. I used to drink it daily for gym immunity, but my trainer told me to stop and switch to normal water. Better to avoid daily use.

My son had a painful kidney stone last year. The doctor warned us against giving him any heavy fizzy vitamin drinks. Natural sources like nimbu paani or fresh oranges are much safer and gentler on the kidneys.

Honestly, 1000mg of Vitamin C in one packet is way too much for our bodies to absorb. If you don't need it, don't take it daily. It is much safer to eat a real orange and drink plenty of water instead.
