Does eczema make you tired?

I've noticed that when my eczema is flaring up badly, I feel completely drained and exhausted, even if I've slept enough. Is this a known symptom? Does eczema make you feel tired or fatigued?

My mother always says that when the body is busy fighting skin inflammation, it naturally drains your energy. While we use traditional cooling herbs to soothe the skin, you should consult your doctor if the fatigue is very heavy.

Yes, my child, the constant itching takes a toll on the body and mind, making you feel very weak. Drinking warm turmeric milk at night can help soothe your body, but make sure you get enough rest.

I get so anxious thinking my fatigue is due to some other major illness, but then I realize my body is just exhausted from the constant skin irritation. It is a real thing, so please don't push yourself too hard.

Yes! When my skin is acting up, I have zero energy to even cook or go out for my favorite street food. It just saps all your energy. I usually just order some comforting khichdi and rest.

I totally get it, dealing with that non-stop itch day and night is physically and mentally draining. It is completely natural to feel exhausted. Please give yourself permission to rest and take it easy.

The constant itching keeps your nervous system in a fight-or-flight mode, which is incredibly exhausting. Doing gentle pranayama before sleeping can calm your mind and help you get deeper, restorative rest.

When I told my doctor at the clinic about my constant fatigue, they explained it was due to lack of deep sleep from micro-scratching at night. Please ask your doctor clearly about this so they can give you something to help you sleep better.

I was reading some articles on this, and apparently, eczema sufferers have much lower sleep quality due to nighttime itching, which leads to chronic daytime fatigue. It makes perfect sense why you feel so tired.

My son gets so cranky and tired during his eczema flares because he tosses and turns all night trying not to scratch. It really impacts their energy levels. We make sure his room is cool and moisturize him right before bed.

I feel extremely tired during active flares too. Getting proper sleep and keeping the skin cool before bed really helps.

When the body is under stress, it asks us to slow down and rest. Accept this fatigue as a signal to pamper yourself and rest your mind. Stay positive, this phase will also pass.

I feel so weak and drained every time my skin flares up, is it just me? I thought I was overreacting, but even simple daily chores feel like a mountain of work when the itching is bad.
