Does eczema come and go?

I've been dealing with eczema since childhood, and it seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes my skin is perfectly clear for months, and then suddenly I have a bad flare-up. Does eczema typically come and go like this, or should it be more consistent?

Yes, totally! It's so random, bro. Mine stays quiet for months and then suddenly flares up right before exams when I am stressed out. It is definitely a cycle of coming and going.

My mother always tells me it is due to body heat and changes in weather, which is true to some extent as it flares up every winter. But I trust my dermatologist's advice—he explained it's a chronic condition with remission phases, so we must keep moisturizing even when the skin looks fine.

Ho na, it is so frustrating. Just when you think your skin is finally behaving and looking clean, a small red patch appears out of nowhere. Actually, we just have to accept that it has its own mood swings and keep applying our doctor's creams.

Oh absolutely, it is like that uninvited guest who leaves and then randomly shows up again! I noticed mine flares up thoda more when I eat too much spicy street food or during dry weather. It's a constant game of hide and seek.

It definitely has commitment issues because it never stays or leaves permanently! Eczema is famous for its flare-ups and quiet periods. Just keep your moisturizer close and your dermatologist closer!
