Does ectopic pain come and go?

I've been having some abdominal pain that feels off, and it comes and goes, sometimes for a few hours, then it disappears. Could this type of intermittent pain be a sign of something like ectopic pain, or is it usually constant?

Ectopic pregnancy is a serious medical emergency and has nothing to do with food or digestion. Yes, the pain can sometimes feel like sharp cramps that come and go, but you must consult your gynecologist right away for an ultrasound.

Well, our bodies love drama, but ectopic pain isn't something to take lightly. It actually can come and go as a sharp or dull ache, but please don't wait for it to perform an encore. Go see a doctor immediately!

Do not seek answers on the internet for suspected ectopic pregnancy pain. Yes, it can fluctuate, but a rupture can be life-threatening. Stop reading forums and get to an emergency room immediately.

Oh no, are you feeling this right now? Yes, I've heard from a friend that her ectopic pain was coming and going on one side before it got severe. Did anyone else experience spotting along with this? Please stay safe and visit a clinic.

I went through an ectopic pregnancy last year and it was emotionally and physically devastating. My pain started as a mild cramp that would come and go on my right side. Please do not wait for the pain to become constant; please see a doctor immediately.

This sounds so scary and I would be panicking so much right now. Please know that ectopic pain can indeed come in waves, but it's a major red flag. Please call a doctor or go to an emergency clinic right this second.

Back in my day, we had to be very alert about these things. Ectopic pain can indeed start slowly and fade in and out before getting worse. Please listen to an elder's advice and get yourself checked at a proper hospital today.
