Does eating sugar feed cancer cells?

My relative is currently undergoing cancer treatment. We've been strongly advised to eliminate sugar from their diet, with some people claiming it 'feeds' cancer cells. Is this a widely accepted fact that eating sugar feeds cancer cells?

I don't have time to research internet myths, but basic science says all cells, including healthy ones, use glucose for energy. Cutting out all sugar won't stop cancer and might just make you weak. Focus on a balanced diet and avoid processed junk.

I tried many organic and zero-sugar diets for my health issues, but extreme restriction only made me dizzy and tired. While refined sugar is bad for health, natural sugars from fruits are fine. Don't stress too much, just keep things in moderation.

Please be careful about making drastic diet changes if you are undergoing medical treatment. I had major health complications when I tried to self-manage my diet based on online blogs. Always consult your oncologist before changing your food habits.

Haan yaar, ye sugar and cancer wali baat toh WhatsApp par bahut chalti hai na. Par actually, direct link nahi hai, bas weight badhne se baki bimariyan hoti hain. Normal ghar ki chai me thodi cheeni chalti hai, tension mat lo.

If internet rumors are to be believed, everything we eat feeds some disease, haha! My policy is simple: eat your simple roti-sabzi, enjoy a sweet occasionally, and don't take too much mental tension. Stress is worse than sugar.

When my relative was going through cancer treatment, we also had this question. The doctors at the hospital told us that sugar doesn't directly feed cancer cells, but maintaining overall nutrition is vital. We just focused on giving her clean, home-cooked meals.

This is a very common misconception. No medical research shows that eating sugar directly accelerates cancer growth. Please don't rely on random internet health gurus; consult a qualified oncologist to understand how metabolism actually works during treatment.
