Does earwax help fever blisters?

My Dadi used to say that applying a bit of earwax can help get rid of fever blisters quickly. I have a stubborn one right now. Does earwax actually help with fever blisters, or is it just an old wives' tale?

I love trying different street foods, but putting earwax on a blister sounds like a recipe for a bad stomach-churning infection! Please don't do that. Just use a proper medicated gel from the pharmacy to heal it safely.

I just recovered from a nasty fever blister on my lip last week. Trust me, do not use earwax; it is full of dust and bacteria that will make the blister swell up even more. A basic OTC antiviral cream cleared mine up in four days.

Oh God, please don't put earwax on your face, that is so unsafe and unhygienic! Don't stress too much about the blister, it will heal on its own in a few days. Just apply some ice to reduce the swelling and stay happy.

I used to panic whenever I got these blisters and tried all kinds of weird advice I read online. But my doctor reassured me that these are viral and need proper antiviral ointments, not home remedies like earwax which can cause secondary infections. Just keep the area clean.

Using earwax on fever blisters is a very unhygienic practice and not recommended at all. Instead, focus on cooling your body with sheetali pranayama and applying a little organic honey, which is naturally soothing and clean.
