Does ear infections cause vomiting?

My 3-year-old son recently had an ear infection, and he was also vomiting quite a bit during that time. I wasn't sure if the vomiting was from the infection itself or something else. Does ear infections commonly cause vomiting in young children?

Yes, they absolutely can. My doctor explained that our inner ear controls our body balance, and when an infection causes fluid buildup there, it sends mixed signals to the brain. This imbalance causes vertigo, dizziness, and very commonly leads to nausea and vomiting.

My son had a severe ear infection last year and he started throwing up everything he ate. I panicked, but the pediatrician told us the fluid pressure in the ear was making him dizzy and nauseous. Keep them hydrated with coconut water and get their ears checked soon.

Consult a ent specialist

I ignored a deep ear ache thinking it would go away, and it turned into a severe infection that caused terrible vomiting and imbalance. I had to be rushed to the ENT specialist. Please don't ignore this, go see a doctor immediately before the infection spreads.

It actually happens because the inner ear and brain balance gets totally messed up during an infection, yaar. It feels just like motion sickness, hence the vomiting. Better to consult an ENT doctor soon so they can give some ear drops and stop the dizziness.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Ear infection se balance bigad jata hai body ka, toh dizziness aur vomiting hona normal hai. Jyada wait mat karo, achhe doctor ko dikha lo na thik se check karne ke liye.
