Does duloxetine cause erectile dysfunction?

I started taking duloxetine a few months ago for nerve pain, and lately, I've noticed some issues with erectile dysfunction. I'm wondering if this medication could be the cause. Does duloxetine cause erectile dysfunction as a side effect?

I completely panicked during the first two weeks of starting duloxetine because of this exact issue. But honestly, my psychiatrist told me it is a very common side effect that often gets better as the body adjusts. Don't stress too much, just talk to your doctor and they might adjust the dose.

Haan, this can happen with these types of medicines, na. It is a known side effect of antidepressants, but there is no need to feel embarrassed about it. Just tell your doctor openly and they will easily find a solution or change the pill.

I ignored this side effect for months hoping it would go away, but it strained my relationship and caused more anxiety. Finally, my doctor had to change the medication altogether. Please don't wait or try self-medicating, consult your doctor immediately.

The body and mind go through many phases when we take heavy medicines. Stay positive and do not let fear take over your peace. Speak to your doctor with a calm mind, as there are always safe ways to manage these biological changes.

I made the mistake of ignoring sexual side effects from my blood pressure pills years ago, thinking it would resolve on its own, which only made things worse. Don't make the same mistake with duloxetine. Go and have an honest conversation with your doctor right away.
