Does dr pepper cause kidney stones?

My uncle recently got kidney stones, and the doctor told him to cut down on aerated drinks. I drink a lot of colas and other fizzy drinks. Can regularly drinking soft drinks actually lead to kidney stones?

Yes, high sugar sodas definitely increase the risk of stones. Better to drink fresh coconut water instead.

Haan na, daily cola or soda pine se toh kidney pe load padega hi. Isse accha hai normal nimbu paani piyo, body detox bhi ho jayegi aur tasty bhi hai.

These foreign carbonated drinks have too much chemical and phosphoric acid, which is bad for the kidneys. Drink barley water (jo ka paani) or tender coconut water regularly. It naturally flushes out any small stones from the body.

I try to completely avoid high-sugar sodas like Dr Pepper because of my PCOS. The high fructose corn syrup and phosphoric acid in them can definitely increase calcium oxalate accumulation, leading to kidney stones. It is much safer to stick to plain water.

As a diabetic, I strictly monitor what I drink. Sodas are packed with sugar and acid which dehydrate the body, and dehydration is the number one cause of kidney stones. Please avoid these sweet drinks for your overall health.
