Does diabetic neuropathy come and go?

I've been experiencing some tingling and numbness in my feet, which my doctor said could be diabetic neuropathy. Sometimes the sensation is very strong, and other times it's barely there. Does diabetic neuropathy typically come and go like this?

In my experience helping many people in this group, yes, the tingling and burning sensation in the feet can definitely fluctuate. It usually gets worse when your blood sugar spikes or when you are very tired at night.

Haan, mere pairo me bhi kabhi bahut tez jalan hoti hai aur kabhi bilkul theek lagta hai. Jab sugar control me rehti hai toh ye takleef bahut kam ho jaati hai, bas dhyan rakhiye.

I panicked so much when my feet started tingling randomly last year, thought it was permanent. But my doctor assured me it fluctuates, and once my sugar came down, the sensation almost disappeared. Relax, it is manageable!

It can feel like it comes and goes, especially in the early stages. The nerve irritation usually flares up based on your daily blood glucose levels and blood circulation, so keeping a daily log of your symptoms really helps.

Yes, it definitely has its good and bad days! Some days my feet feel completely fine, and some nights they tingle. Just stay active and keep those sugar levels happy! 😊

Since I deal with insulin issues due to PCOS, I have to be very careful. It might seem like it comes and goes, but any nerve sensation should not be ignored. Please get it checked by your specialist to make sure it's not progressing.

I made the huge mistake of ignoring that random numbness thinking it was just weakness that comes and goes. Now the damage is much harder to treat. Please go to a doctor immediately and don't wait for it to get worse.
