Does diabetes make you shake?

Sometimes I feel a bit shaky, especially if I haven't eaten for a while or if I'm stressed. I have Type 2 diabetes, and I'm curious if these shaking sensations are connected to my sugar levels?

Oh absolutely, if I delay my lunch even by half an hour, my hands start shaking like crazy! It's usually hypoglycemia, which means you need a quick sweet treat or some juice to bring the levels back up.

I get the shakes when my blood pressure spikes, and my diabetic friends feel it when their sugar drops too low. Routine checkups and tracking your daily vitals are very important to keep this under control.

It can be very unsettling when your hands shake. Please sit down, rest, and try to have a small glass of fruit juice. It usually helps raise the sugar level quickly.

Whenever my father starts shaking, we immediately give him a glucose packet dissolved in water. It is a very cheap and effective solution to keep at home for sudden sugar drops.

This shaking is a classic sign of hypoglycemia, which is dangerously low blood sugar. I always carry glucose tablets in my pocket because you never know when your sugar might suddenly drop during the day.

Yeah, my uncle gets these sudden shakes when he skips his breakfast. It honestly looks quite scary but having a spoonful of honey or sugar immediately settles it for him.

I get hand tremors due to hyperthyroidism, but my diabetic father gets them during low sugar. You should definitely get both your thyroid profile and blood sugar tested to rule things out.

Shaking can be due to anxiety, neurological issues, or low sugar. Don't go trying home remedies you find online; go to a proper clinic and get your fasting and post-prandial levels checked.

Shaking is usually a sign of a sugar crash, especially after heavy physical activity. Always keep a fast-acting carb source like sports drinks or a banana handy during your workouts to prevent this.

My mom used to experience this quite often. We realized she was taking her medication but not eating on time. Keeping some candies in her purse really helped manage those sudden shaky moments.
