Does diabetes cause blisters?

My aunt, who has had diabetes for many years, developed some strange blisters on her feet last week. Could her diabetes be the cause of these blisters?

I totally get how worrying it is to see blisters on your feet. Diabetes can cause them due to nerve damage or poor circulation, so please be very gentle and keep the area clean.

It is so stressful when these symptoms appear out of nowhere. I had foot blisters last year and I kept crying fearing diabetic ulcers. Please don't be hard on yourself, just seek medical help early.

Don't stress too much, buddy! Yes, high sugar can cause blisters, especially on feet, but they are totally manageable if you catch them early. Just keep them clean and don't pop them!

Yes, it does, and they can easily turn into severe ulcers if ignored. I had a minor blister that took six months to heal. Please go see a doctor immediately to prevent any serious infection.

It can be a symptom of diabetic bullae. When I went to my hospital, the specialist clearly told me never to self-treat these. Ask your doctor clearly about the right dressing and ointment to use.
