Does deli meat cause cancer?

I often pack cold-cut sandwiches for lunch because they are convenient and quick to prepare. My wife keeps telling me that deli meats are very unhealthy and can even cause cancer. Is there any truth to this claim about deli meats and cancer risk?

Yes, processed meats are classified as carcinogenic by the World Health Organization due to the preservatives used. It is highly recommended by medical professionals to minimize your consumption and stick to fresh, unprocessed protein sources.

In our youth, we only ate what was freshly cooked at home, and that is why we stayed strong. These modern packaged foods sitting in plastic for months cannot be good for the body, so keeping them out of your kitchen is the wisest choice.

Processed meats can cause general inflammation which worsens hormonal issues like thyroid. It's really important to keep your diet clean and get regular checkups to monitor your overall metabolic health.

Haan na, these packaged cold cuts have so much salt and chemical preservatives to make them last long. It is always better to prepare fresh food at home instead of eating these frozen items.

Processed foods like deli meats can cause insulin spikes and inflammation, which is really bad if you are trying to manage PCOS. I try to stick to whole foods and fresh ingredients to stay safe.

Please be very careful with processed foods. After my family member went through a major health scare, our doctor strictly banned all packaged and preserved meats from our house. Do consult a clinical nutritionist for a safe diet plan.

The link between processed meat and cancer is well-documented. If you have been consuming a lot of it and are experiencing any stomach issues or persistent discomfort, please consult a doctor for a proper checkup.
