Does dehydration raise blood sugar in non diabetics?

My doctor recently advised me to keep my blood sugar in check as a preventive measure for my health. I also heard that not drinking enough water can affect blood sugar levels. For someone who isn't diabetic, can dehydration still cause a rise in blood sugar?

Yes, less water means concentrated sugar. I realized this after staying up all night drinking only black coffee and feeling completely crashed and dehydrated the next morning.

Yes, it does. When water in your blood decreases, the concentration of sugar naturally goes up. Keep a water bottle at your work desk and drink regularly, it's a simple way to keep your health on track.

Yes, lack of water stresses the body, raising stress hormones which increase blood sugar. Drinking pure water mindfully and practicing calm breathing will help keep your body's systems in perfect balance.

Yes, it does because the blood volume decreases, making the sugar more concentrated. I always make sure my family drinks plenty of water, especially during hot summer days or sports activities.

Yes, clinical studies show dehydration concentrates glucose in the bloodstream. If you are noticing repeated high readings, I highly recommend visiting a good hospital and getting a proper HbA1c test done under medical supervision.

I completely panicked when my routine test showed slightly high sugar when I was dehydrated. My doctor reassured me it is totally normal for levels to look high when you haven't had enough water. It went back to normal once I hydrated well.

Haan, bilkul raise ho jata hai because blood solid thoda thick ho jata hai na. Bas pani peete raho daba ke, body bilkul sorted rahegi.
