Does dandruff have dna?

I was reading an article about DNA and genetics, and it got me thinking about everyday things, even skin flakes. Since dandruff involves shedding skin cells from the scalp, I was just curious to know if dandruff flakes actually contain DNA. It's a random thought, but I'd like to know.

The dead skin cells in dandruff do contain your DNA, and the fungus living in it has its own DNA too. But if your dandruff is very severe with red patches, please see a dermatologist instead of researching online.

I used to spend hours researching random things about hair online while my scalp was bleeding from infections. Don't waste time on theories; if you have a bad scalp issue, go visit a doctor immediately.

Yes, dandruff is made of your own body's skin cells, so it does have your DNA. Hope this simple answer helps clear your curiosity.

It is just dead skin falling from the body, so it carries your genetic code. Keep the scalp healthy by washing regularly with warm water and natural shikakai.

Haan na, it is ultimately our own skin flaking off, so our DNA will obviously be there in it. Biological facts can be so fascinating sometimes!

That's a super interesting question! Yes, since dandruff is basically dead skin cells from your own scalp, it definitely contains your DNA. 🧬
