Does dandruff go away?

I've recently started having dandruff, and it's quite annoying with the flakes and mild itching. I'm using a special shampoo, but I'm wondering if it's a temporary thing for some people. Will dandruff eventually go away on its own, or do I need continuous treatment always?

Listen, don't stress too much about it, chill! Just use a good anti-dandruff shampoo twice a week and keep your scalp clean. It goes away easily once you get into a routine.

It definitely goes away when you clean up your lifestyle. Sweat buildup from the gym can make it worse, so always wash your scalp after a heavy workout session and avoid sugary foods.

Please be careful with strong home remedies like direct lemon juice. I tried that and got bad scalp chemical burns which made my hair fall worse. Just see a dermatologist for a proper prescription.

Yes, it goes away. Buy a shampoo containing Ketoconazole or Zinc Pyrithione, leave it on your scalp for 5 minutes before washing, and never apply heavy hair oils when you have active dandruff.

I totally get it, it feels so embarrassing when white flakes fall on your black clothes. But don't worry, it's very treatable and absolutely goes away once you find the right shampoo.

My doctor told me that dandruff is caused by a natural yeast called Malassezia. It never completely vanishes from the skin permanently, but you can easily keep it at zero levels with maintenance washes.

It goes away, but you have to be consistent. I get it every winter, so I just start using my medicated shampoo around October and my scalp stays perfectly clear throughout the season.

I ignored my mild dandruff until it turned into a painful scalp infection with hair loss. Don't wait around like I did. Go to a skin specialist and get the right lotion immediately.
