Does cuvitru absorb through kidneys or liver?

My father recently started on Cuvitru therapy, and we are trying to understand how his body processes it. Our doctor gave general info, but I am curious about the specifics. Does Cuvitru absorb through the kidneys or the liver, or is it both?

Cuvitru is an immunoglobulin injection given under the skin, so its absorption process is quite different from normal tablets we digest. You don't need to guess about organ safety; just get your regular liver and kidney blood tests done to keep track.

Don't worry, your liver and kidneys aren't playing tug-of-war with this medicine! It is absorbed through your lymphatic system since it's a subcutaneous injection. Let the organs do their job while you relax.

These advanced biological medicines work through the blood and defense system, not like our simple herbal powders that digest in the stomach. Drink plenty of warm water to help your body process everything smoothly, and follow the hospital's guidance.

My grandmother always says keeping hydrated protects the organs, but for specialized drugs like Cuvitru, we must listen only to the immunologist. It is processed naturally by your body's immune cells, but keeping your kidney health monitored is always standard medical practice.

Since Cuvitru goes directly under the skin, it bypasses the digestive tract completely. However, as diabetics, we must always keep a close eye on kidney function tests (like creatinine) anyway, as any heavy medication can put stress on the body.
