Does crestor cause muscle pain?

My doctor prescribed Crestor for my high cholesterol, and I've been taking it for a few months. Lately, I've noticed significant muscle pain, especially in my legs after walking. Does Crestor cause muscle pain, or should I be looking for another reason?

My cousin also had this issue while taking statins and advised me to stop it, but I directly spoke to my doctor instead. He adjusted my Crestor dosage and now the pain is much better. Please consult your physician before making any changes to your heart medicines.

It is so exhausting when a medicine that is supposed to help you makes your body ache all over. I used to cry because of the leg cramps and felt like nobody understood. Please don't suffer in silence, talk to your doctor because they can easily switch you to another brand.

I take BP medicines and my doctor wanted to start Crestor too. Muscle pain is actually a known side effect of statins, which is why regular liver and muscle enzyme checkups are important. Keep an eye on your lifestyle and discuss this side effect with your doctor.

Sometimes warm water baths with rock salt can help soothe mild muscle stiffness. However, since this is a side effect of a cholesterol medicine like Crestor, you shouldn't rely only on home remedies. If the pain is severe or dark urine is there, see your doctor immediately.

My dad was on Crestor and he kept complaining about heavy legs and muscle fatigue while walking. Honestly, we thought he was just tired from work, but the doctor said it was the medicine and changed it. Definitely tell your doc about it.
