Does cranberry help with kidney stones?

My uncle suffers from kidney stones quite often, and someone suggested that cranberry might help. Is there any truth to this? Does consuming cranberry actually help prevent or manage kidney stones?

I completely understand the panic when you get kidney stones, the pain is absolutely terrifying. Cranberry is great for UTIs, but honestly, it doesn't do much to dissolve kidney stones. Please get an ultrasound done and consult a urologist if the pain gets bad.

Staying positive and drinking plenty of water is the best way to heal your body. While cranberry juice is a nice healthy drink, nothing works better than plain, pure water to flush out kidney stones. Take care of yourself.

Actually yaar, cranberry juice is mostly for urinary tract infections, not really for kidney stones. If you have a stone, you need to drink tons of water and maybe try coconut water. Better to check with a doc instead of relying on this.

Don't fall for internet trends claiming cranberry juice dissolves kidney stones; some types of cranberry drinks can actually increase oxalate levels and make certain stones worse. You must consult a doctor and get your stone type tested before starting any remedy.

I just recovered from a 5mm kidney stone last month, and my doctor told me cranberry doesn't help with stones at all. He had me drinking 3 liters of plain water daily along with the prescribed alkalizing syrup. That is what actually worked.
