Does covid cause nausea and vomiting?

My whole family has been down with what we suspect is COVID, but unlike others, I'm having a lot of nausea and have vomited a couple of times. I thought COVID was mostly respiratory. Can it cause stomach issues like this?

Oh, tell me about it! When I had covid, I thought my lungs would be the problem, but instead, my stomach decided to go on a complete strike. I spent two days staring at the bathroom wall feeling like a seasick sailor. It definitely causes nausea, so keep a basin handy.

Yes, nausea is a known symptom of the gut-directed variants. When I was recovering, I had to stop my workouts completely because any movement made me dizzy and sick. Only start light walking inside your room once the vomiting stops and your doctor says it is okay.

Haan bhai, yeh pet kharab hona aur ulti aana bilkul ho sakta hai covid me. Logo ko lagta hai sirf khansi hoti hai, par actually stomach pe bhi attack hota hai na. Thoda khichdi khao aur zyada dimaag mat lagao, doctor se baat kar lo ek baar.

Yes, covid really likes to offer the full VIP package, including a roller-coaster ride for your stomach! I was nauseous for days just looking at tea. Don't worry, your stomach is just having a temporary drama session and it will calm down soon.

I completely understand how scary and unsettling it feels when you start vomiting during a viral illness. I had terrible panic attacks when I couldn't keep food down during covid, thinking something was seriously wrong. Please know this gastrointestinal reaction is actually quite common, so try to breathe and stay calm.

Yeah bro, it absolutely does. When I tested positive, I didn't even have a cough, just intense nausea and threw up twice on the first day. It made me super weak, but once I started sipping ORS water, it got much better. Don't try to force heavy food right now.

Hey, don't stress too much! Nausea is super common with these new variants, and it really sucks but it passes in a day or two. Just sip on some ginger tea or lemon water slowly, and don't force yourself to eat heavy meals. Take care and sleep as much as you can!
