Does covid always cause a fever?

My throat is sore, and I feel a bit tired, but I don't have a fever. Everyone keeps saying COVID always comes with a high temperature. Can you have COVID without getting a fever at all?

Not at all! When I got hit by covid, I didn't have even a mild fever, but my sense of taste totally vanished. It was a tragedy because I couldn't taste my hot poha-jalebi for a whole week! So yeah, you can definitely have it without any fever.

In my long experience with seasonal flu and now covid, symptoms vary greatly from person to person. During the second wave, my wife had a high temperature, but I only had a mild dry cough and body ache with absolutely no fever. Don't worry too much, just isolate yourself and rest.

Please don't make the mistake of waiting for a fever to show up before getting tested. I ignored my sore throat and body ache thinking it was just fatigue because I had no temperature, and later it turned out to be covid which I passed on to my family. Get a test done if you feel off.

No, it doesn't always cause a fever. Many people only get a cold, body pain, or even remain completely asymptomatic.

Children, covid does not always show itself with a high fever. Sometimes it is just a heavy head or a scratchy throat, so be careful. Sip on warm water with a little turmeric and black pepper, rest your body well, and do not hesitate to contact a doctor if you feel very weak.

No, it really depends on your immunity. With my hormonal issues, my body reacts differently to infections and when I had covid, I only experienced extreme fatigue and muscle aches instead of a fever. Keep an eye on how you feel overall and consult your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Based on my office experience where half my team got infected, fever was absent in at least 30% of the cases. Most just had fatigue and a mild runny nose but tested positive. If you feel unwell, take a day off, do a rapid test, and consult a doctor online to save time.
