Cortisone cream does help reduce the terrible itching of eczema temporarily. However, relying on it too much can thin your skin. I find that applying pure virgin coconut oil regularly alongside the cream really helps keep the skin barrier soft and reduces the flares.

Steroid creams like cortisone should never be used without a proper prescription. They can have side effects if applied on the wrong areas or for too long. It is always best to show it to a dermatologist first to get the correct dosage.

Man, eczema itch at 3 AM is next-level torture, I have literally lost so much sleep over it. Cortisone cream is the only thing that stops the scratching madness so I can actually get some rest. Just don't overuse it, otherwise your skin gets addicted.

Yes, it brings quick relief during severe flare-ups, but it is just a temporary fix. For long-term healing, I practiced daily Pranayama and focused on cooling my body from within. Calm breathing helps lower the internal stress that triggers these eczema attacks.

It definitely helps, but does anyone else feel like the eczema just comes back the moment you stop using the cortisone cream? I am a bit scared of using it long-term because of skin thinning. How do you guys manage the rash once you stop the steroid?

Hey, don't worry too much, eczema is highly manageable. Cortisone cream is great for calming down the intense redness and swelling quickly. Use it exactly as the doctor told you, keep the area moisturized, and you will see it clear up soon.
