Does cold weather affect eczema?

My eczema flares up every single winter, making my skin super dry and itchy. Does cold weather affect eczema, and what can I do to keep it under control?

Bro, my skin literally turns into sandpaper as soon as November starts. The cold dry wind combined with hot hostel showers is the worst combo for my eczema. I just lather up on heavy moisturizer right after bathing to avoid looking like a zombie.

I was just reading online that low humidity inside rooms because of heaters can dry out the skin barrier completely. Is that why my eczema spots are itching so much more this week? I might need to look into getting a room humidifier.

At 54, my skin has its own mood swings, and winter is its favorite time to protest. Between my back pain and this dry, itchy eczema, I feel like a walking pharmacy. Thick creams are my only saving grace, otherwise, I'd scratch myself to pieces.

Haan, thand me skin bilkul dry ho jati hai aur itching badh jati hai na. I always tell my kids to avoid super hot water baths because it strips away all the natural oils. Olive oil ya thick cold cream lagane se kafi aaram milta hai.

Actually, Mumbai winters aren't even that cold, but the slight drop in humidity still triggers my skin yaar. The itching gets so annoying during late-night work shifts. I literally have to keep a tub of moisturizer on my desk 24/7.

Personally, my eczema flares up heavily on my hands during winters. The dry air and cold breeze make the red patches extremely itchy and sore. I've started wearing soft cotton gloves after applying coconut oil, which seems to keep it under control for me.
