Does coke zero cause kidney stones?

I usually drink Coke Zero because I'm trying to cut down on sugar. My wife recently read an article online that claimed artificial sweeteners are bad for you and can cause issues like kidney stones. Does Coke Zero cause kidney stones?

Bhai, ye sab bahaar ki cheezein chodo aur simple nimbu paani piyo. Humare yahan toh sab kehte hain ki jitna zyada saada paani piyoge, utna pet aur kidney saaf rahegi. Coke zero se accha hai ghar ka nariyaal paani le lo, sharir ko thandak milegi.

Honestly, even if it doesn't directly cause them, the artificial stuff can put pressure on your system. I always say it is better to get a proper urine test and consult a urologist if you are feeling any back pain. Why take risks with your health when a doctor can tell you exactly what's wrong?

Please don't stress yourself too much thinking about this, stress itself is bad for the body. Just focus on drinking plenty of fresh water and eating clean, natural foods. Keep a peaceful mind, listen to your body, and try to avoid highly processed drinks when you can.

Agreed with others here, artificial drinks can definitely trigger issues if you don't drink enough water. Keeping yourself hydrated with at least 3-4 liters of plain water daily is the best way to prevent stones anyway.

Beta, these modern bottled drinks are not good for the stomach or the kidneys. In our times, if anyone had kidney issues, we used to give barley water or simple coconut water to flush everything out. You must consult a doctor first, but do try drinking warm water with a little lemon in the morning to keep the system clean.

Look, I live on black coffee and zero-soda just to survive my 3 AM office shifts, but my doctor keeps warning me about dehydration. Soda has phosphoric acid which isn't great if you are already prone to stones. Maybe swap at least three cans of soda for actual water, otherwise your kidneys will surely scream.

Many people in the fitness circle abuse diet sodas to curb sweet cravings, but the sodium and acid content can mess with your hydration levels. To keep your kidneys in top shape, focus on high water intake, a balanced diet rich in leafy greens, and regular workouts. If you already have a history of stones, it's best to consult your sports nutritionist or doctor.

I completely understand the anxiety of constantly worrying about what you eat and drink, especially when you are trying to stay healthy. I used to feel so guilty every time I had a zero-sugar soda, fearing it would trigger a medical emergency. Just take it easy on yourself, reduce the intake slowly, and talk to a doctor to put your mind at rest.

I always prefer natural solutions like drinking fresh buttermilk or barley water instead of packaged sodas to keep the urinary tract healthy. But remember, if you are already having sharp back pain or burning while urinating, don't wait for home remedies to work. Go and see a proper doctor immediately.

I totally get it, sometimes we just want to enjoy a cold drink without worrying about the sugar and calories. But a close friend of mine had a painful stone last year and her doctor specifically asked her to cut down on all carbonated drinks, even diet ones. Please take care and maybe limit it to once in a while.
