Does coffee make you sleep?

I drink coffee every morning thinking it will wake me up, but sometimes after a cup, I actually feel more tired and sleepy. Is it just me, or can coffee sometimes make you feel like sleeping instead of giving energy?

Actually yaar, coffee has caffeine which is a stimulant, so it usually keeps you awake. But sometimes if you are extremely exhausted, even a hot cup of coffee won't stop your body from crashing.

Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors in your brain which normally make you feel sleepy. So practically, it prevents sleep. If you are struggling with insomnia, try to avoid any coffee after 2 PM so it can clear out of your system.

A calm mind is the secret to deep sleep. Coffee stimulates the senses and makes the mind hyperactive, so it is best avoided in the evening. Try to drink warm milk or simple water and think peaceful thoughts before bed. Take care.

In my experience, coffee will keep you alert for a few hours, but once the caffeine effect wears off, you might feel a sudden energy crash. If you need a good night's rest, keep a strict cutoff time for your last cup.

Coffee is a stimulant and will definitely disrupt your sleep cycles if consumed late in the day. For better sleep, try a cup of warm chamomile tea or turmeric milk in the evening instead of caffeine.

Haha, coffee is meant to do the exact opposite! ☕️ It keeps you bright and awake. But if you are one of those lucky people who can drink an espresso and sleep like a baby, tell us your secret! 😂

If coffee made people sleep, offices across India would be completely empty by afternoon! It is definitely meant to keep you awake, though my body sometimes ignores the caffeine and goes to sleep anyway out of sheer laziness.

Caffeine agitates the nervous system and blocks natural rest. If you want deep sleep, practice 10 minutes of pranayama or deep breathing before bed and avoid coffee after midday to let your energy settle naturally.
