Does coconut oil help piles?

I've been dealing with piles for a while now, and it's quite uncomfortable. I read online that applying coconut oil might offer some relief. Can it actually help in managing the symptoms of piles?

It can help soothe the burning and itching down there because of its cooling effect. But honestly, it's not a cure. You really need to drink lots of water and eat high-fiber food so you don't strain.

Applying coconut oil topically can give temporary relief from the pain and inflammation. But let's be real, if you have severe bleeding or pain, go see a general surgeon immediately. Don't try to manage chronic piles at home.

Coconut oil is fine for reducing local irritation, but please do not ignore piles. It is critical to get a physical examination from a doctor to rule out any severe complications or internal hemorrhoids that require proper medical treatment.

I tried applying coconut oil when I had mild piles last year, and it definitely helped with the burning sensation. But what actually cured it was taking the stool softeners my doctor prescribed and drinking 4 liters of water daily.

Don't panic, piles is a very common issue and can be managed easily if you act early. Use pure coconut oil for external relief, but focus on your digestion. Eat green vegetables, avoid spicy food, and see a doctor if the pain is severe.

I am so scared of having to go for surgery for this. Does applying coconut oil really bring down the swelling, or is it just a temporary thing? I would love to know if anyone else managed to cure it without heavy medicines.
