Does coconut oil get rid of dandruff?

I've been struggling with dandruff for months now, and it's so annoying. My grandma always used to say coconut oil is the best remedy. Can it really get rid of dandruff completely?

Actually, my scalp tracker app showed that using heavy coconut oil made my dandruff worse because it feeds the malassezia fungus. Coconut oil is great for dry skin, but if you have fungal dandruff, it might trap the flakes. Try a salicylic acid shampoo instead.

With my busy office schedule, I don't have time for overnight oiling which honestly just stains the pillows. Apply warm coconut oil mixed with a few drops of lemon juice just 30 minutes before your shower. It's quick, easy, and helps loosen up the dry flakes.

I literally just solved my dandruff issue last month. What worked was stopping heavy oiling completely, as my dermatologist said coconut oil actually feeds the dandruff fungus. Switching to a ketoconazole shampoo cleared it up in three washes.

For us, skin dryness and infections can happen easily. Coconut oil is a safe, chemical-free option to soothe an itchy, dry scalp. Just make sure to wash it off thoroughly with a mild shampoo so it doesn't attract dust.

It worked wonders for my dry scalp! 🥥 I just warm it up slightly and massage it gently. It feels so relaxing and keeps the winter dryness away!

Bro, it didn't work for me at all. My dandruff got so sticky and itchy after oiling that I had to go to a skin doctor. If you have oily dandruff, avoid oiling and just use a proper anti-dandruff shampoo twice a week.
