Does clicking joints cause arthritis?

My parents always scold me for cracking my knuckles and neck, saying it will give me arthritis. I do it a lot, actually. Is it really true that clicking or cracking joints can cause arthritis in the long run?

Haan, log bolte hain ki ungliya chatkane se gathiya ho jata hai, but actually aisa nahi hai na. Mere dada ji bhi bolte the par doctor ne bataya ki wo bas gas bubbles hote hain joint fluid me. Agar pain nahi hai toh bilkul mat daro.

My knees sometimes click when I climb stairs, which worried me since I already manage high BP and try to stay healthy. My doctor reassured me that as long as there is no pain, it is normal age-related joint movement. Regular health checkups and staying active keep everything in check.

Drinking warm milk with a pinch of turmeric is great for keeping joint inflammation away naturally. Simple clicking is usually fine, but if you start feeling stiffness in the morning or have deep joint pain, please don't rely on home remedies. Go see a doctor to rule out any actual arthritis.

Normal clicking of joints without any pain is usually harmless and doesn't lead to arthritis. I keep my joints healthy with regular strength training and a morning walk to keep them lubricated. If you are allowed by your doctor, light mobility exercises will help keep your joints strong.

Medical research indicates that simple joint cracking or popping does not cause arthritis. The sound is typically just gas bubbles bursting in the synovial fluid. However, if the clicking is accompanied by swelling or sharp pain, it is best to get it evaluated by an orthopedic doctor.

Beta, don't keep cracking your fingers or joints unnecessarily, it is not a good habit. To keep your joints strong in the long run, try eating a few soaked almonds and walnuts daily, and apply warm sesame oil if you feel any stiffness. It keeps the joints lubricated naturally.
