Does citric acid cause kidney stones?

My friend told me that too much citric acid can actually cause kidney stones. I've had kidney stones in the past, so this information worried me a bit. Is it true that consuming citric acid can lead to kidney stones?

Bro, it actually does the opposite! I had a small stone last year and the doc told me to have more citric acid from lemons because it helps break down the build-up. Just drink lots of water along with it and you are good to go.

I have seen this question quite often in our community groups. No, citric acid does not cause stones; in fact, it is widely used to prevent them from growing. Just make sure you are getting it from natural sources like lemons and amla, and keep your daily salt intake low.

Haan na, people get so confused about this! Actually citric acid is very good for kidneys, it prevents stones only. Mere mama also had stones and doctor told him to drink lemon water daily. So don't worry at all.

In my experience, natural citric acid from fresh limes is highly beneficial for keeping the kidneys clear. Along with a clean diet, practicing Kapalbhati pranayama helps keep the internal organs healthy. Try to avoid processed foods that contain artificial citric preservatives.

While many people say citric acid prevents stones, everyone's body chemistry is quite different. If you are experiencing back pain, burning during urination, or suspect you have stones, please get an ultrasound done and consult a urologist. Don't rely on self-diagnosis.

Don't believe everything you read on random blogs about citric acid curing or causing stones. The type of kidney stone you have determines what diet you need to follow. Go visit a qualified doctor, get your urine and blood tests done, and get a professional plan.

No yaar, actually citric acid is a lifesaver for kidney stones. It stops the calcium from binding together to form stones. I make sure to squeeze a lemon on my meals daily just to keep things safe and healthy.
