Does chewing tobacco cause cancer?

My father has been chewing tobacco for many years now, and despite our pleas, he doesn't stop. We constantly worry about his health. Does chewing tobacco cause cancer, and what are the risks?

Honestly, even reading about tobacco makes my heart race. It definitely does cause cancer, specifically oral cancer, so please try to stop. I always overthink these things but it is really a huge health hazard. Please take care and maybe consult a counsellor to help you quit.

I can only tell you what happened in my family. My uncle used to chew gutkha for almost ten years and he was diagnosed with mouth cancer in 2018. It was a very painful recovery process for him. That's why I always tell my friends to stay away from it.

Let's be direct here, absolutely yes. Chewing tobacco is loaded with carcinogens and it is a major cause of mouth and throat cancers. There are no two ways about it, yaar. Better to dump it in the trash right now.

Yes, it is highly linked to cancer. Just like I have to do regular blood tests and see my doctor for my thyroid issues, anyone using tobacco should get regular dental checkups to spot any early signs or lesions. Don't ignore it and get a proper medical opinion.

Don't listen to any internet stories saying local powders or home remedies can reverse tobacco damage. Tobacco is scientifically proven to cause cancer. You need to verify this with an oncologist or dentist and get a proper screening done.

I have seen many such questions on this forum, and yes, the medical consensus is clear that chewing tobacco causes oral cancer. If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, please don't feel ashamed to ask a doctor for nicotine replacement therapy. It is a very practical way to quit slowly.

Listen buddy, yes it does cause cancer and you should definitely work on leaving it. But don't stress too much right now, just take it one day at a time. Maybe talk to a doctor who can guide you on how to quit safely without getting too anxious.

Yes, tobacco causes cancer and it also burns a big hole in your pocket with medical bills later. A simple workable solution is to replace it with saunf or cardamom whenever you get the urge. It takes time but slowly your habit will change.

It definitely causes cancer, but don't panic if you are trying to quit. My cousin had some white patches inside his mouth and we got so scared it was cancer, but the dentist checked and said it was reversible if he stopped immediately. Just get checked by a doc and relax.
