Does chemo help stage 4 prostate cancer?

My father has stage 4 prostate cancer, and the doctors are suggesting chemotherapy. We want to know what our options are. Does chemo actually help stage 4 prostate cancer, or are there better alternatives?

Haan na, stage 4 sunkar bahut darr lagta hai, but chemotherapy actually helps a lot in managing the symptoms and extending life. It might not completely cure it at this stage, but pain kam karne me aur tumor control karne me bahut help milti hai. Doctor par bharosa rakho.

I know how terrifying it is to search about stage 4 cancer online, it gives so much anxiety. But from what I read, chemo is highly effective in slowing down the spread and giving relief from bone pain in prostate cancer. Sending you and your family so much strength, please stay hopeful.

My father is also facing a similar diagnosis and we are so worried about starting chemo at his age. Has anyone else gone through this treatment for their elderly parents? Does it help improve their daily quality of life without too many severe side effects?

We tried many herbal and home remedies for my uncle, but for stage 4, medical treatment is absolutely necessary. Chemo helped him manage his severe pain and gave him comfortable years. Home remedies can only support overall strength, but please follow the hospital's chemotherapy plan diligently.

It is a tough battle, but think of chemo as the ultimate cleanup crew. It goes in and puts the brakes on those stubborn cancer cells. It definitely helps manage the disease and keeps the patient active for a much longer time, so don't lose heart!

In stage 4 prostate cancer, chemotherapy is primarily used as a palliative treatment to control the growth, manage symptoms, and improve survival rates. Every patient's response to therapy is unique. You must consult your oncologist to discuss the specific benefits and risks for your case.
